This page sets out the age suitability statement, content standards, privacy practices and data handling information for mobile applications developed and published by New Roads International Ltd. It is provided for review by Apple App Store, Google Play Store, regulators, parents and users.
Our app is a productivity and communication tool that helps users compose, structure and improve their written messages. It operates as a keyboard extension, integrating directly into the user's existing messaging and communication workflows on their mobile device.
The app is designed for general productivity use. It does not contain social networking features, user-generated public content, chat functionality, or community interaction. Users interact with the app privately on their own device.
This app is rated suitable for users aged 13 years and older on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Although the app contains no violent, sexual, or otherwise restricted content, we have voluntarily set the minimum age to 13 in recognition of:
Age assurance is implemented at the platform level. The app relies on Apple App Store and Google Play Store parental controls, Family Sharing restrictions, and age-rating enforcement mechanisms as the primary means of restricting access for users under 13. The app does not require account creation and therefore does not collect date of birth or implement independent in-app age verification.
For parents and guardians: We recommend enabling parental controls on your child's device. On iPhone, use Screen Time (Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions). On Android, use Google Family Link. These controls allow you to restrict app downloads by age rating.
The app does not contain or generate the following categories of content:
The app is a personal productivity tool. All content interaction occurs privately on the user's device. The app does not facilitate communication between users of the app itself.
We are committed to collecting the minimum data necessary for the app to function. The following table sets out exactly what data is collected, why, and how it is handled.
| Data Type | Purpose | Handled By | Stored By Us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payment information (card, billing name, address) | In-app purchase processing | Apple / Google only | No — we never see this |
| Anonymised transaction receipt / purchase token | Confirming active subscription status | Apple / Google + App | Yes — no personal identifiers |
| Subscription metadata (purchase date, tier, renewal date) | Managing subscription access | App | Yes |
| Device identifiers (IDFV on iOS, Android Advertising ID) | App functionality and crash reporting | App | Yes — anonymised |
| Device model, OS version, locale/language | Performance optimisation and compatibility | App | Yes — anonymised |
| IP address | Network functionality; yields approximate location (city/country level) | App | Not retained beyond session |
| App usage analytics (feature interactions, session length, screen views) | Understanding how the app is used to improve it | App + Analytics tools | Yes — anonymised and aggregated |
| Crash logs | Identifying and fixing technical errors | App + Crash reporting tools | Yes — no personal identifiers |
We recognise that users aged 13–17 are entitled to heightened data protection under applicable law, including the UK ICO Age Appropriate Design Code, COPPA (US), and GDPR Article 8 (EU).
For users in this age group, we apply the following additional commitments:
Parents and guardians may contact us at hello@newroads.scot to request information about data collected in connection with their child's device, or to request deletion of any such data. We will respond within 30 days.
The current version of this app does not require users to create an account. No username, email address, password or personal profile is created or stored.
If future versions of this app or related apps developed by New Roads International Ltd introduce account creation functionality, this policy will be updated to reflect the additional data handling practices and parental consent requirements that apply — including age verification mechanisms appropriate to the user base and applicable legal requirements in each territory.
The app offers optional paid subscriptions processed entirely through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We never collect or store payment card details, billing addresses or financial information of any kind.
All subscription management — including cancellation, renewal and refunds — is handled through the relevant app store. Users can manage their subscriptions at any time through their device's account settings.
For users under 18, Apple and Google both provide parental controls that restrict in-app purchase capability. We encourage parents and guardians to enable these controls.
The app may use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to maintain performance and improve user experience. These services process anonymised, aggregated data only. We ensure all third-party processors are bound by appropriate data processing agreements and comply with applicable data protection law.
We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs. No advertising data is collected or shared.
Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and applicable US state privacy laws, users (and parents/guardians acting on behalf of minor users) have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@newroads.scot. We will respond within 30 days.
UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
The app is available globally. Where data protection laws in a user's jurisdiction provide rights or protections beyond those described in this policy, we will honour those rights to the extent required by applicable law. This includes but is not limited to:
